Johnny Hawksworth & Hampton Hawes, inglese il primo, americano il secondo. L'incontro tra due pianisti Jazz, due musicisti di grande esperienza. Hawksworth aveva lavorato con l'orchestra di Ted Heat dal 1951 al 1965. Hampton Hawes, pianista storico, è stato uno dei più prestigiosi pianisti jazz di colore, ed è scomparso nel 1977. Un incontro di grande valore storico.

Il disco congiunto di due geniali violinista come Grappelli in ambito jazz e Vassar Clements in ambito bluegrass. Accompagnati da Martin Taylor alla chitarra acustica, Doug Jernigan alla pedal steel, Jim Ferguson al basso, Kenny Malone alla batteria e Davis Causey alle chitarre elettriche, i due violinisti combinano gli strumenti con disinvoltura e grazia come avessero sempre suonato insieme.

Track B1: Composed circa 1699, the Kanon was originally an organ piece.
Track B2: An Eighteenth Century English carol based upon an earlier French carol.
Track B3: Composed in 1951 by Jazz trumpeter Alfred S. Burt (1921 - 1954). Some Children See Him was one of fifteen carols written as gifts for friends. The piece was originally a song with lyrics by Wilha Hutson expressing the unconditional love present within children.
