Registrato con buona parte dei Grateful Dead ( Jerry Garcia, Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutzmann, Keith e Donna Jean Godchaux), il disco contiene una serie di canzoni che poi sono diventate tutte parte integrante del repertorio dei Dead ( Cassidy, One More Saturday Night, Greatest Story Ever Told, Playing In The Band, Black-Throated Wind, Looks Like Rain, Mexicali Blues ), Questa ristampa di Ace, oltre al disco originale rimasterizzato ad arte, aggiunge la versione dal vivo del disco stesso, incisa nell'aprile 2022 al Radio City Music Hall di New York. Bob Weir è accompagnato dai Wolf Bros, cioè Don Was, Jay Lane e Jeff Chimenti, dal quintetto dei Wolfpack, dal chitarrista pedal steel Barry Sless e dalle voci di Tyler Childers e Brittney Spencer. Bob Weir rivitalizza il suo capolavoro di inizio carriera, introvabile da anni. Edizione europea.
