Dotato di una bella voce, Bublè è diventato una star, grazie a dei dischi discutibili. Higher è meglio del solito, più robusto, più errebi, con un sound solido alle spalle voce, comunque bella, di Michael. Notevola la versione di Crazy, un classico di Willie Nelson che Michael Bublè interpreta assieme al suo autore.

Album di soul e gospel che combina tre grandi voci e l'accompagnamento di Malachi Favors Maghostus al basso, Phillip Wilson alla batteria e Amina Claudine Myers all'organo e al piano. Le tre voci mettono insieme le radici africane e gli arcaici spirituals della tradizione afroamericana lascinado intravedere le atmosfere che si respirano la domenica mattina in una qualsiasi congregazione religiosa del sud degli Stati Uniti, nonostante il disco sia stato registrato a Milano.
