After The Fire è uscito l'undici Ottobre 2019, una settimana fa. Ed ora è la volta di The Wanting, un secondo album, totalmente nuovo. Cody Jinks, alfiere del country più attuale in questo momento in Usa, celebra la sua libertà, avendo pubblicato i due dischi per la propria etichetta, Late August Records. The Wanting contiene altre dodici canzoni, in classico stile country elettrico. Composte tutte da Cody, da solo oppure assieme ad alcuni autori fidati (dalla moglie Rebecca a Josh Morningstar, Greg Jones, Ward Davis, Jamie Richards, per citarne alcuni). Due dischi nel giro di una settimana, un lavoro notevole ed una manciata di canzoni belle, solide e ben costruite. Joseph D. "Cast" King (16 febbraio 1926 – 13 dicembre 2007) è stato un musicista country e compositore di Old Sand Mountain, Alabama. King ha debuttato con l'album, "Saw Mill Man", nel 2005. Aveva 79 anni al momento della registrazione. Una canzone dell'album intitolata "Outlaw" è stata inclusa nella colonna sonora del film di Gus Van Sant del 2007, Paranoid Park. "Saw Mill Man" ha suscitato paragoni con la serie American Recordings di Johnny Cash.
