The album is a jazz interpretation of the Joan Miró painting "1925".
Every piece has different time signature ranging vom 3/4 to 9/8.

Note: Tracks 4, 5 & 6 are actually studio performances with overdubbed applause, according to Tom Lord's Jazz Discography. If you listen to these tracks on headphones, you will notice the differences in the audio. There were also technical issues with the Duke Ellington set that same year and some of the songs from that set were re-recorded for the LP that was released.
