Per la terza volta, nella sua lunga carriera, Randy Newman siede dietro al suo pianoforte e ri incide, da solo, alcuni dei suoi classici. I primi due dischi, Randy Newman Songbook Vol 1 e Vol 2, erano quasi due capolavori. Questo li supera. Newman rilegge brani come Short People, Burn On, Mama Told Me Not To Come, Simon Smith and The Amazing Dancing Bear, I Love L.A., Guilty, I'll Be Home, You've Got A Friend in Me, Red Bandana, ed altre. Il tocco pianistico è sublime e la voce sempre meglio. E poi c'è solo un Randy Newman. Unico, assolutamente unico.
