LP. Horizon Music, 1979, USA. Un album in cui il mandolinista mischia bluegrass, folk e jazz in maniera creativa in particolar modo nel brano Dawgology, un chiaro riferimento al chitarrista francese Django Reinhart che ha ispirato i virtuosismi di Grisman.
LP. Rounder Records, 1983, USA. Un disco in duo con l'altro mandolinista Andy Statman che insieme a Grisman improvvisa in studio una musica avanguardistica in bilico tra jazz e bluegrass.
