Bob Margolin è uno dei chitarristi blues storici con maggiore fama e considerazione, sia da parte del pubblico che da quella della stampa di settore. E stato il chitarrista nella band di Muddy Waters dall'inizio degli anni settanta, sino ai prini anni ottanta. In questo nuovo lavoro, edito dalla specialista Vizz Tone, Margolin mette a punto una manciata di sue nuove composizioni e le mischia con brani di Muddy Waters, Johnny Winter, Bob Dylan (I Shall Be Released), Jimmy Rogers, Snooky Pryor e Pinetop Perkins. Il resto lo fa lui, alla sua maniera: da Steady Rollin' Man, come viene definito dai suoi fans.
John Nemeth è un musicista molto seguito, con già diversi dischi alle spalle, ed un solido nome. Ha inciso almeno otto dischi, tra cui il recente Memphis Grease, ed il suo southern blues, venato di soul, è tra le cose più interessanti dalle parti di Memphis. Non è un caso che questo nuovo album lo ha prodotto Scott Bomar, propietario degli Electrophonic studios, eredi diretti degli Hi Studios dove, negli anni settanta, incidevano Al Green, Ann Peebles ed altri bei nomi della scena soul blues locale. Con una solida band alle spalle, The Blue Dreamers, Nemeth ci regala uno dei dischi blues, ma con influenze soul, tra i più belli degli ultimi anni.
