Intrigante album per sassofonista di colore, con Kim Thompson, Miriam Sullivan, Shamie Royston etc
Già edito, parzialmente, in DVD lo scorso anno, questo concerto dal vivo vede i due grandi, in compagnia di Norah Jones, rifare il repertorio del grande Ray Charles. Ma ci sono delle differenze, infatti alcune canzoni sono prese dalla sera diversa ( il CD è stato tratto da due serate sold out ), il tutto per rendere più appetibile il prodotto. A monte di tutto, un concerto splendido, classe adamantina, tre grandi interpreti alle prese con un repertorio formidabile.
Tra i pianisti più interessanti della attuale generazione jazz, Green esordisce per la Jazz Legacy, con un album in trio, accompagnato da Peter e Kenny Washington.

4 CD. Finalmente disponibili nella loro entità i due concerti di Albert Ayler, che il jazzista diede alla Fondations Maeght di Saint - Paul - de- Vence nel 1970. Concerti mitizzati da sempre, ma introvabili. Finalmente grazie alla Elemental Music di Zev Feldman, abbiamo la possibilità di sentire quelle due serate memorabili. Albert Ayler, tenor sax, aveva suonato con Mary Maria Parks, sax soprano e voce, Steve Tintweiss, basso, Allen Blairman, batteria. Reperibilità difficoltosa.
