Un pò bluesy, un pò rock. Burdon torna, dopo anni di silenzio, con un disco di spessore. Il vecchio leone degli Animals mostra di non avere perso la voce e la voglia di fare musica. Copia non sigillata.

Dopo avere passato 15 anni ad andare in tour con l'amata Hot Band, Emmylou Harris nel 1990 ha formato una nuova band, The Nash Ramblers., dove suonavano Sam Bush,(fiddle, mandolin, vocals), Roy Huskey Jr. (bass), Larry Atamanuik (drums), Al Perkins (dobro, banjo, vocals), e Jon Randall Stewart (acoustic guitar, mandolin, vocals). La band ha suonato per diversi mesi on the road, prima di debuttare a Nashville, Tennessee, al Performing Arts Center (TPAC) il 28 settembre 1990. Poi il concerto è stato messo da parte, in quanto la Harris ha edito, con grande successo, un altra performance da vivo, sempre coi Nash Ramblers, registrata alcuni mesi dopo al Ryman Auditorium. Ma questa esibizione, riscoperta da poco negli archivi della Nonesuch, ha un repertorio completamente diverso e contiene canzoni di A.P. Carter, Rodney Crowell, Ruth Franks, the Louvin Brothers, Doc Pomus e Mort Shuman, Paul Simon ed anche Townes Van Zandt, oltre alle composizioni della band. Serata in stato di grazia, tutta da scoprire. Qualità audio strepitosa.
