Al suo secondo lavoro, la ghanese Ruby Amanfu affila le unghie. Il disco d'esordio, Smoke and Honey, era più rock. Standing Still è più soul oriented, grazie anche alla produzione di Patrick Carney ( Black Keys ), Mark Howard ed Austin Scaggs. La ragazza ha una buona voce ed alcune canzoni, Anyone Who Knows What Love Is, Out At Sea e Cathedrals, mostrano qualità insospettate.
