La Universal presenta in questo modo On Air dei Rolling Stones, indicando non tanto il contenuto ma la tecnica rivoluzionaria,mai utilizzata prima, con cui è stato rimasterizzato negli studios di Abbey Road. Il CD contiene 18 canzoni, registrate per la BBC tra il 1963 ed il 1965. Canzoni che si rifanno alle radici dei Rolling Stones, tra classici e brani oscuri, con covers di Chuck Berry, Bobby Troup, Solomon Burke, Arthur Alexander, Bo Diddley e molti altri. Incisione eccellente, performances ad alto livello, per un CD che non è solo nostalgia.

Creata da Michael Bloomfield, che pero è stato nel gruppo solo nel disco d'esordio, A Long Time Comin', gli Electric Flag hanno inciso ben poco: due dischi a loro nome, più la soundtrack di The Trip, ed una reunion negli anni settanta. Bloomfield, grande chitarrista, ha gettato le basi per un suono tra blues, soul ed anche funky, in una band in cui hanno suonato anche Nick Gravenites, Buddy Miles, Harvey Brooks, Barry Goldberg. Questo disco raccoglie nove brani, tutti importanti nella storia della band: da Groovin' is Easy a You Don't Realize.
