Era da Songs of St. Somewhere ( 2013 ) che Jimmy Buffett non faceva un disco nuovo. E Life On The Flip Side non solo sorprende i fans, in quanto inatteso, ma anche perchè è un bel disco, nel più classico stile del nostro. Già la canzone di apertura, Down at the Lah de Dah è tutta un programma. Ma, se poi ci mettiamo anche The Devil I Know, Cussin' Island, Oceans of Time, Half Drunk, Cuban Minutes, Book on The Shelf, ci rendiamo conto che Jimmy Buffett è tornato. La Coral Reefer è in forma smagliante ed il disco si ascolta tutto d'un fiato dall'inizio alla fine. 11 canzoni, su 14, sono scritte da Buffett. Tra gli ospiti abbiamo l'irlandese Paul Brady in due canzoni, Lukas Nelson in Who Gets to Live Like This? e Will Kimbrough. Edizione limitata con libretto di 62 pagine !!!!
