Il disco contiene il concerto di Chiari presso il teatro delle scuole medie Toscanini e allinea sei canzoni di Woody Guthrie e cinque dell'autore andando a concludera la trilogia di album live cominciata con Journey (2004) e proseguita con Journey: Second Voyage (2009). Talley si esibisce sillabando un incantevole linguaggio delle radici con un intreccio di country, gospel, miniature blues e ballate rurali della provincia. Nelle note di copertina l'autore estende un sentito ricordo di Paolo e Anna Carù ricordando i bei momenti trascorsi insieme lungo le strade di Nashville e di Memphis.

Un concerto acustico per sole voce, chitarra e armonica registrato dal vivo al Teatro Bogart di Cesena il 18 ottobre 1996 in cui l'autore esprime asciuttezza, sofferenza e essenzialità introspettiva che trasformano l'ascolto in un'esperienza emotiva pari ad un disco elettrico. Ballate folk e atmosfere jazz si mescolano in maniera molto personale e al solito meravigliosa.

Nuovo album dell'ex pugile originario di Tupelo nel Mississippi, la città che ha dato i natali a Elvis, è un disco in cui fanno capolino le influenze di gente come Johnny Lyons, Bruce Springsteen, Joe Grushecky e un'infinità d'altro rockers con la chitarra in mano e il soul nel cuore. Il lavoro registrato in Alabama nella zona degli studi Muscle Shoals vede sfilare collaboratori vecchi e nuovi tra cui Joe Bonamassa e Luther Dickinson impegnati a alzare il tasso di elettricità e di classe delle canzoni che alternano sfuriate rock di chitarra e organo, sanguigni rhythm'n'blues e in chiusura perfino una ballata country.

Dopo aver vissuto il periodo di massimo splendore dal 1977 al 1983, la formazione power pop originaria dell'Oklahoma ma ricollocatasi in California, torna per la seconda volta a distanza di due decenni dalla precedente reunion e lo fa carica di passione e entusiasmo con un disco che riporta gli autori aai sogni d'origine e al sospirato eldorado della loro gioventù. Si tratta di un lavoro fresco e ispirato fatto di chitarre muscolari, riff gustosi, armonie vocali beatlesiane, ritornelli apprezzabili e cuciti su misura per gli amanti delle sonorità dei sessanta e dei settanta.

La jam band dello stato di New York torna con il 14esimo album di studio ed è un disco solido, fantasioso e divertente che alterna fiammate rock, improvvisazioni in orbita psichedelica, aperture progressive e momenti di zappiana follia. Alla band si è aggiunto il multistrumentista Nate Wilson e il suo lavoro fa la differenza proiettando la band verso il futuro piuttosto che celebrare gli ultimi 35 anni di carriera.

Più o meno in contemporanea con l'uscita della pellicola nelle sale italiane, viene pubblicata la colonna sonora del film del regista James Mangold su Bob Dylan. Il disco comprende ovviamente quasi tutte canzoni di Sua Maestà cantante dall'attore protagonista Timothée Chalamet, da Edward Norton che interprerta Pete Seeger e da Monica Barbaro nei panni di Joan Baez. Al contrario di quanto si potrebbe pensare considerata la difficoltà del compito, il ragazzino è all'altezza della situazione e anche se molto aderenti agli originali, le sue versioni sono intense e sentite.

2CD. Il concerto inedito di Parigi del dicembre 1979 quando la band era in tour per promuovere il classico Breakfast in America. Lo show mai pubblicato prima è stato restaurato dai nastri originali dall'ingegnere del suono originale del gruppo Pete Henderson. Il concerto è ovviamente pieno di classici come The Logical Song, Give a little bit, Crime of the century o Take the long way home.

Material from late AC/DC singer Bon Scott features songs he recorded with his first band, the Spektors, and later the Valentines. Some of the Spektors material is pulled from a television broadcast, so the sound quality is poor. The Valentines section sounds much better. The compilation features a 23-minute interview with co-founder and co-lead vocalist Vince Lovegrove.

Il nuovo album del cantautore figlio del celebre Jim Croce è una conversazione con sè stesso riguardo temi secolari come amore, perdita, vita e morte. Nato dalla collaborazione con un altro figlio d'arte come Shooter Jennings, il nuovo album passa attraverso ballate pianistiche di incredibile intensità a momenti più rock che mettono comunque in luce le qualità di songwriter di A.J..

Musicista di origini britanniche, Peter Bruntnell è chiaramente innamorata della musica americana e propone un'eccellente miscela di rock, country e folk con uno stile che lo proietta idealmente tra la California e il Texas. Aiutato da una band che comprende musicisti inglesi e americani, il nuovo album è un ottimo esempio di cantautorato Americana intriso di atmosfere polverose e melodie sognanti.

All'inizio considerati la risposta britannica ai Guns'n'Roses, i Quireboys hanno dimostrato nel corso di una carriera cominciata nei primi anni '90 di avere piuttosto una maggiore sintonia con le infradiciature soul dei Faces, le sarabande elettriche dei Rolling Stones e le insolenti unghiate blues della J. Geils Band. Ill nuovo album non fa che confermarli campioni di una genuina schiettezza rock tra boogie sfrenati, apocrifi stonesiani, parentesi rocciose e groovy e chitarre sanguinarie.
