First released in 1970. A selection of the music from the soundtrack to the Donald Cammell/ Nicolas Roeg directed motion picture "Performance" made in 1968 but released in 1970.
According to Colin McCabe (in his book "Performance") the Moog synthesizer was so new that none were commercially available and a prototype was used for these recordings.
Amiya Dasgupta is listed as musician in the film credits but no specific instrument is given - this may have been sitar and/or surbahar.
