Recorded October 20, 1960 at Universal Recorders Studio "A", Chicago. All tracks previously unreleased. Production for release: Donald Elfman and Naomi Yoshii.

Although track 10 is identified as "C Jam Blues," Gerry Mulligan only vamps on it briefly before the group begins playing Duke Ellington's "Main Stem," which is the primary theme for this performance. "C Jam Blues" is also briefly referred to near the conclusion.
