Originariamente pubblicato nel 1967, il primo album del chitarrista americano comprende un quintetto formato dal violinista Michael White, dal sassofonista Noel Jewkes, dal bassista Ron McClure e dallo straordinario batterista Jack DeJohnette.
Due terzi del famoso trio Medeski, Martin & Wood celebrano la loro unione con una serie di duetti registrati nel 2006. Musica libera ed improvvisata in cui il geniale organista hammond Medeski lavora di fino con il bravissimo percussionista Martin. Un disco poco usuale.
