The classic Blue Note albums which span the mid 1950's to late 1960's were recorded directly on to two track analog tape. No multitrack recording was used and consequently no mixing was required. Therefore, this CD was made by transferring the one step analog master to digital.

The factor of Double-Up
having pushed me further (thank you)
...therefore this new activity
has come about
It became a clear imparative
to write plus...
a third piano added to 1+1
now 1+1+1
To put things in a little different light
I can make a yo-yo hesitate,
but to suspend a flower in mid-air
without a stem
this is more like six hands or thirty fingers
more or less
trying to do whatever
...I'm glad there is somebodies
to thank, and much thanks to Kate Chumley.

Tracks 7, 9, 10, 12 and 14 are available on CD only. All tracks have been digitally remastered. A section detailing the noise reduction process from the booklet is given below:
"This reissue has been prepared by transferring the best available source material to digital tape, which has then been reprocessed by Sonic Solutions, using their unique computer NoNOISE systems. NoNOISE is designed to remove virtually all imperfections and aural distractions (surface noise, pops and clicks, scratches, rumble, etc.) commonly associated with vintage material, without substantially altering the basic recorded sound."

13 canzoni, rimasterizzate, con classici quali Cheeck to Cheek, Puttin' on The Ritz, Dream a Little Dream of Me, Someone to Watch Over Me etc.
